DataGEMS is pleased to announce the collaboration with the Hereditary Project, a Horizon Europe-funded initiative dedicated to advancing data-driven health research. Effective from May 5, 2025, to December 31, 2027, this partnership represents a significant step in our shared mission to improve the discovery, accessibility and integration of complex data.
HEREDITARY (HetERogeneous sEmantic Data integratIon for the guT-bRain interplaY) focuses on integrating and harmonizing large-scale multi-modal health data, such as clinical, genomic and environmental information, with a particular emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases and gut microbiome-related disorders. Its innovative five-layered federated analytics framework allows privacy-preserving data analysis to unlock novel insights that can improve disease detection and treatment strategies.
Together, the two projects will work to improve data discovery methods and co-develop advanced data profiling techniques. The collaboration also includes opportunities for researcher exchanges, joint scientific publications and the development of open data-driven use cases, all while ensuring strict compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This partnership reflects the complementary strengths of DataGEMS and Hereditary and reinforces a shared vision of empowering researchers with intuitive tools to navigate and analyse heterogeneous datasets. By combining efforts, we aim to push the boundaries of innovation in health research and set new standards for data discovery and integration.
