The European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide public event that celebrates science and brings researchers directly into local communities. The aim is to inspire young people to choose careers in science and research and to strengthen the link between research and society. So, every year, on the last Friday of September, millions of people explore the world of research through experiments, demonstrations, exhibitions, talks, quizzes, and hands-on experiences. It is a unique opportunity to see first-hand how science and innovation impact everyday life, to ask questions directly to those conducting research, and to discover the work being carried out at universities and research institutes across Europe.
The DataGEMS project was present in both Athens (Greece) and Bragança (Portugal), promoting its technologies, solutions, and key results within the community.
It was a great opportunity to present our project, share our work and ideas, and engage with visitors in an open and interactive environment. Events like the European Researchers’ Night remind us of the importance of bringing research closer to society and encouraging curiosity about the science and technologies shaping our future!
